Our Mission

"Faith United Church of Christ reaches out with the Good News
of Jesus Christ.  We grow spiritually in our worship and in our learning about God, and support one another in sorrow and joy.  Led by the Holy Spirit, we minister to those in need of healing, comfort, and justice, in this community and the world."

Faith United Church of Christ, founded in 1954, began worshiping in the Elkwood Fire Hall on 8th Street, New Cumberland, Pa.  Begun by the Evangelical and Reformed Church, Faith soon became a member of the United Church of Christ during the 1957 merger of the Congregational Christian Churches and the Evangelical and Reformed Churches. Faith Church's sanctuary was built in 1955 and education wing was added in 1966. Through weekly Bible study, Sunday School for all ages and lively worship, we continue to grow in our faith and look forward to expanding God's ministry in this community and throughout the world.
